FiberLink, LLC Finishes 2006 with Four Dark Fiber Transactions

FiberLink, LLC successfully executed four major transactions of its dark fiber assets during its second year of operation in 2006, including its first transaction with a major non-telecom enterprise customer. FiberLink's sells dark fiber or provides connectivity services to telecommunications providers such as local telephone exchange companies, cable TV companies, ISP's, wireless carriers and large business users.
During 2006, FiberLink completed transactions with: a major financial services company, a regional fiber-provider, an Iowa ISP, and an Iowa-based lit fiber optic services provider. Total fiber miles sold exceeded 16,000. FiberLink will provide ongoing operations and maintenance services for those clients as well as leasing collocation facilities.
This latest round of transactions expands FiberLink's capabilities to meet customer needs particularly to the non-telecom enterprise market. FiberLink, LLC was formed in 2004 and acquired over 72 strands on 1,160 miles of fiber optic transmission assets extending from downtown Chicago to downtown Denver, connecting such population centers as Davenport/Moline, Iowa City/Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Omaha, and Lincoln. FiberLink is currently owned by three independent telephone exchange companies and Anderson Pacific Corporation, a Chicago private investment firm with extensive rural telecommunications holdings. FiberLink's corporate and sales office is in Chicago, IL and its operations and administration office is in Cambridge, NE.
